| Jordan was born and raised on a farm in Badger, a small rural community in northern MN. He grew up working on machinery and vehicles, and actually engineered his first motor at the age of 5. He worked for the home farm all his life and also worked for another farm his last three years of high school repairing equipment. Jordan was well known throughout the area for his skill in fixing almost anything, and people started coming to him requesting repairs and motors built while Jordan was still a teenager. Jordan started his Demolition Derby career in high school also, has won multiple 1st place trophies and is known for his ability to build a car that just will not quit. In 1993 Jordan graduated from college at the top of his class with a degree in Auto Body, specializing in frame and sheet metal fabrication. While in college, Jordan did a complete restoration on the 1976 Camaro pictured to the left. He also worked for an auto body shop during this time and gain experience in masking, spot repair, welding, and frame work. He then accepted an offer to work for a racing equipment company where his responsibilities included pipe bending, roll cage repair, Welding of tubing and frames, fabricating aluminum sheet metal and assembling race cars. After college, Jordan was hired to work in welding at Polaris industries. They soon found out about his expertise in building motors and he was promoted to Engineering where he worked in the Engine Development Department for a few years. It was around this time that he knew he eventually wanted to have his own shop where he could do custom work. Jordan has never applied for a position since Polaris. Job offers always came to him. Jordan was called up the Northern Pacific Railroad and hired to work in the Equipment Maintanence position. There he gained extensive experience in large engines. A few years later, an offer came to him to work for an Alaskan Fishing Company, heading up the Fishing Boat Mechanic crew. This was seasonal, so Jordan took advantage of the summer's off and worked on building his shop during this time. Whenever he was home, people were always stopping by or calling asking Jordan to work on their vehicles, and thus his business was started on a seasonal basis. He worked for a few years at the Salmon Fishing Company, and when things became slow, he decided to accept an offer for a large Alaskan Fuel company where he headed up the maintenace crew, keeping the tug boats running and the barges operating smoothing. His long hours, dedication and disciplined work ethic helped him to be able to build his second shop and acquire the tools and equipment needed to start his business on a full-time basis, which he did in 2006. |
